Physics and engineering Semester 1
Spaghetti tower: Our first project ever given to us, we had to build a tower made out of spaghetti, tape, and a marshmallow. After fifteen minutes of building, Rachael measured the tip of the marshmallow from the base. Our team got second place, towering 29 cm from the base.
broke, we measured the strwgnth by the number of kilograms it withstold
Physics 500: Our first project, we had been separated in groups and we were supposed to mark a certain distance measure it, and preform a certain form of movement across the distance, such as running, jumping, etc., and measure the time it took. we then had to fill up a sheet with the times, averages, and also questions on the back. I felt this was a good idea because the Olympics were also taking place during the time this project was.
Scientist Biography: We each had to write a biography about a famous scientist. It had to be well-researched with proper grammar. my scientist was Enrico Fermi, the inventor of nuclear energy
Lab Report: We made a lab report based on an experiment we did relating to forces and motion. My group did an experiment about air resistance , which slows down flat objects with low masses and densities. We dropped four different materials, and tested the time it took to fall.
Freshman monument Engineering project: The class brought of different ideas of monuments for the freshmen, but after brainstorming, and voting, we came up with ideas. At the end, we decided to combine all of our ideas into one: A bridge with personalized sticks and rocks over a pond. We worked and worked on it. Linked here is my stick and rock.
The buckling Stregnth of spaghetti: I, with a partner, tested the stregnth of spaghetti as it buckles. We pushed it on a sensitive scale and when it broke, we measured the amount of kilograms it pressured before it broke.
Bridge Project Report Reflecion: Based on our buckilng stregnth project, with the help of Pre-Calculus students, we built a bridge made of spaghetti, and tested how much gravel it can withstand.
Wind turbine design: With partners, we wrote our design for a wind turbine. Here is my design.
Wind turbine report: With partners, we built a wind turbine. We had different prototypes, bur finally setteled for one. At the end, we came up with one. Below is the report, and sketches for the turbine.
Wind turbine Sketches: My wind turbine sketches and drawings

Physics and Engineering Semester 2
Headphone Project: Our first project of the semester was to build headphones using materials. These headphones had researched parts and also were designed based off our Social Justice issue. Here is an image to the headphones.
Bottle Rocket Project: This project (evidently based off The Martian) required me and a partner to build a bottle rocket. We had to brainstorm and build our rocket design and materials. Here is a folder containing the images of our project, including our sketches and final products.
